BoredOnPlane Privacy Policy

Overview
BoredOnPlane is an offline-first airplane activity app by Tomovium. Most app content, saved trip packs, game activity, and local progress stay on your device. Online services are used only for app configuration, optional AI trip-pack generation, Google Play purchase verification, entitlement and credit checks, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and support.
Data We Process
When the app connects to Tomovium Core, we may process a generated installation identifier, app code, app version, platform, package name, request timestamps, entitlement status, credit balances, usage counters, and technical diagnostics such as failed request reasons. The installation identifier is generated for app operation and is not your Google account, email address, phone number, or advertising identifier.
For Google Play purchases, the app sends the product id, package name, and Google Play purchase token to Tomovium Core. We verify the purchase server-side with Google Play and store purchase records needed to grant, restore, revoke, refund, troubleshoot, and support access.
Server logs and security events may include technical request metadata such as timestamps, route names, app identifiers, rate-limit decisions, and network information used to protect the service and investigate abuse or support issues.
AI Trip Packs
If you choose to generate an AI trip pack, the app sends the trip details needed for generation, such as origin, destination, departure date, flight length, travel mood, locale, and a local trip identifier. This data is used to generate offline activities for that trip.
AI requests are processed by Tomovium Core and may be sent to an AI provider such as Google Gemini. AI providers process the submitted prompt and generated response so the feature can work. Do not enter sensitive personal, medical, legal, financial, or confidential information into AI trip-pack requests.
Local And Offline Data
Generated packs, built-in activities, local game progress, and trip preparation content may be stored on your device so the app works in airplane mode. Deleting the app or clearing its storage may remove local content. Tomovium may not be able to recover content that exists only on your device.
Cabin Group And Nearby Connections
Cabin Group uses Android Nearby Connections to create private, invite-only nearby sessions between approved devices. Free users can try Cabin Group for 30 connected minutes. Chat messages, shared activity events, and game actions are exchanged between devices in the session so the group can play together.
Nearby connection quality, range, and continuity depend on factors outside BoredOnPlane's direct control, including device hardware, Android and Google Play Services behavior, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi radios, airplane mode settings, permissions, battery saving modes, physical distance, cabin layout, and radio interference. Because of this, BoredOnPlane cannot guarantee a fixed range or a perfectly continuous connection in every environment.
Cabin Group does not require an account and is not an open public chat. Other people must know the invite code and be approved before joining the session.
How We Use Data
We use data to operate the app, verify purchases, restore access, manage Pro entitlements and trip-pack credits, generate optional AI content, enforce limits, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, respond to support requests, and keep the service secure and sustainable.
Sharing And Third Parties
We do not sell personal data. We share data only as needed to operate the app and its services. Google Play is used for purchases and purchase verification. Google Gemini or another configured AI provider may be used for optional AI generation. Hosting, database, logging, and infrastructure services may be provided by cloud platforms used by Tomovium Core.
Security, retention, and deletion
Data sent between BoredOnPlane and the BoredOnPlane service is transmitted using HTTPS. Server-side records such as installation identity, entitlement state, purchase verification, usage counters, trip-pack credit balances, generated trip-pack records, and operational logs are retained as needed to provide the service, verify purchases, restore access, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and comply with legitimate operational or legal requirements.
You can request deletion of server-side data associated with your installation or purchases by emailing support@tomovium.com with the subject "BoredOnPlane data deletion request." If possible, include the app installation ID shown in the app or any purchase/support details that help us identify the installation.
Deletion requests may include installation records, entitlement and usage records, AI trip-pack generation data, generated trip-pack records, and trip-pack credit records associated with your installation. Some purchase, security, fraud-prevention, or legal records may be retained when required. Built-in activities, generated packs, game progress, trip preparation content, and other data stored locally on your device can be removed by deleting them in the app, clearing app data, or uninstalling BoredOnPlane.
What We Do Not Do
We do not require an account for the current app experience. We do not use your Google Play purchase token to identify your Google account email. We do not provide AI provider API keys to the mobile app. We do not sell personal data.
Children
BoredOnPlane is not intended to collect personal information from children. If a child uses the app, a parent or guardian should supervise what is entered into optional AI features.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app, backend, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date above shows when this policy was last changed.
